Autism Respite Care

Because Every Child Deserves to Be Understood, and Every Family Deserves Support.

At Zokha Autism Center (ZAC LLC), we believe that caring for a child with autism should never mean having to navigate the journey alone.

For too long, families in underserved communities, particularly Black families raising children with autism, have faced barriers to accessing dependable, culturally responsive care. Too many parents struggle to find professionals who understand their children's communication styles, sensory needs, behaviors, and unique personalities.

We are here to help change that.

Our autism respite care services provide families with compassionate, individualized support in a safe, nurturing environment where children are respected, accepted, and encouraged to be themselves.

Respite Care That Sees the Whole Child

Every child is different. Some communicate through words, others through gestures, devices, or behaviors. Some love music and movement, while others prefer quiet activities, sensory exploration, or familiar routines.

At ZAC, we meet children where they are.

Our approach emphasizes patience, positive relationships, emotional well-being, and respect for each child's individuality. We do not expect children to hide who they are to receive the care they deserve.

No judgment. No pressure to fit in. Just compassionate care built around your child.

Supporting Families in Our Community

We recognize the challenges many Black families face when seeking autism services, including limited resources, financial barriers, and difficulty finding providers who understand their family's experiences.

Our commitment is to help bridge that gap by offering family-centered respite care that values cultural understanding, dignity, inclusion, and trust.

We believe parents deserve to feel heard, children deserve to feel safe, and families deserve access to meaningful support.

Our Respite Care Approach

  • Individualized Care: Support tailored to each child's strengths, preferences, communication, and sensory needs.

  • In-Home Respite: Compassionate support in the comfort and familiarity of the child's home.

  • Engaging Activities: Age-appropriate play, creativity, and meaningful interaction based on each child's interests.

  • Family-Centered Support: Open communication, respect for family routines, and a collaborative approach to care.

  • A Judgment-Free Experience: A welcoming approach that embraces neurodiversity and celebrates every child's individuality.

Caring for the Caregivers, Too

We know that parents and caregivers give so much of themselves every day.

Respite care provides an opportunity to rest, attend appointments, manage responsibilities, spend time with other family members, or simply recharge, knowing their child is receiving attentive and compassionate support.

Taking time to care for yourself is part of caring for your family.

Why Families Choose ZAC

ZAC was founded from both professional experience and a mother's personal journey raising two sons with autism.

Our commitment is more than providing a service. It is about understanding families, recognizing the gaps in autism support, and creating meaningful solutions for communities that have too often been underserved.

We understand that trust is earned, that every child deserves dignity, and that families need more than promises—they need people who genuinely care.

Your Child Belongs. Your Family Matters.

At ZAC, our mission is simple:

To provide an experience of Love, Acceptance, and Inclusion for every child and family, every time.
