ZAC was born from a mother's heart.

As the mother of two autistic sons, I experienced firsthand the questions, uncertainty, victories, and challenges that come with raising children on the autism spectrum. Along the way, I discovered that while services are important, families also need understanding, encouragement, education, and a community that truly walks beside them.

What began as a personal journey became a lifelong mission.

I created The ZAC Autism Center to be a place where families feel seen, supported, and empowered. From podcasts and educational programs to workshops, resources, advocacy, and community events, every part of ZAC exists with one purpose—to equip families with the knowledge, confidence, and support they need to thrive.

My vision is to build a world where every autistic individual is valued, every family has access to meaningful support, and every community embraces acceptance, understanding, and inclusion.

Lakredi Tu Alston

Founder & Executive Director, The ZAC Autism Center

Lakredi Tu Alston is an autism advocate, Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), educator, podcast host, and the founder of The ZAC Autism Center. As the proud mother of two autistic sons, her personal journey inspired a lifelong mission to educate, empower, and support autism families.

With years of hands-on experience working with autistic children and their families, Lakredi created ZAC to provide trusted resources, meaningful education, compassionate advocacy, and a welcoming community. Through The Autism Table Podcast, ZAC University, Learn with Lexi, workshops, and family-centered programs, she is committed to helping families move from uncertainty to confidence.

Lakredi believes that every autistic individual deserves acceptance, every family deserves support, and every community grows stronger through understanding and inclusion.
